Responding to Congress President Karan Mahara’s accusations, BJP state media in-charge Manveer Chauhan stated that Congress, reeling from successive electoral defeats at the assembly, parliamentary, and local body levels, is resorting to divisive rhetoric. “After playing the cards of communalism and casteism, they are now trying to sow the seeds of regionalism. The people of Uttarakhand, however, have complete trust in Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s government and its commitment to justice,” Chauhan remarked.
Chauhan also reminded the public of Mahara’s earlier controversial statements, which had drawn criticism across the state. “Having faced backlash and even issuing an apology in the past, the Congress leadership is now once again attempting to mislead people with false narratives,” he added.

Addressing the Roorkee incident, Chauhan confirmed that strict legal action has been taken against the accused, with arrests already made. “No one will be allowed to take the law into their hands, and no political influence will shield anyone from legal consequences,” he affirmed.
The BJP highlighted its unwavering stance on equality and justice, asserting that the state government has consistently demonstrated its commitment to fair governance. “Whether it’s the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code or handling law and order, the Dhami government has always prioritized impartiality and transparency,” Chauhan stated.

The BJP accused Congress of attempting to distract from its prolonged absence from power by painting a misleading picture of governance in Uttarakhand. “Perhaps Congress has forgotten the chaotic governance during its tenure.
