Jaipur, December 29, 2024:
India’s tourism sector is witnessing an unprecedented boom, recovering strongly from the setbacks of the pandemic. With a 25% increase in international tourist arrivals this year, the Incredible India campaign has successfully rebranded the country as a global destination for culture, adventure, and wellness.
Rajasthan’s palaces, Kerala’s backwaters, and Himachal Pradesh’s trekking routes have emerged as top attractions for foreign travelers. Meanwhile, domestic tourism has also surged, with government initiatives like the Dekho Apna Desh campaign encouraging Indians to explore the country’s diverse heritage.
Union Minister for Tourism G. Kishan Reddy highlighted the success of sustainable tourism projects. “Our focus is on preserving natural beauty while offering unique experiences. Eco-tourism and wellness tourism are gaining significant traction,” he said.
The rollout of e-visas, better infrastructure, and heritage restoration projects have further bolstered India’s tourism appeal. With global travel forums recognizing India’s efforts, the country is set to climb the ranks as one of the world’s most sought-after destinations.
