Farmers' Protests Lead to Punjab Bandh; Train Services Affected

Farmers in Punjab have initiated a state-wide shutdown (Punjab Bandh) from 7 am to 4 pm on December 30 and 31, demanding a legal guarantee of minimum support price for crops. The protests have disrupted life in many parts of the state, with establishments closed and transportation halted. Indian Railways has canceled 150 trains and rescheduled 13 services due to the bandh. Emergency services are allowed to operate during the shutdown.
