In a bizarre incident in West Delhi's Punjabi Bagh area, a man was filmed driving with a traffic cop clinging to his car's bonnet after refusing to stop when asked. Another cop gave chase on a civilian's scooter. Despite the dangerous situation, the driver was only issued a challan and let off.
A video of the Friday incident shows the traffic policeman's cap visible above the car's roof as he hangs onto the moving vehicle. When the car eventually halts, the furious cop is seen shouting at the driver. The other officer, who had been pursuing the car while riding pillion on a scooter, arrives and restrains the driver.
Remarkably, neither of the policemen were injured, and despite their evident anger, the car driver faced only a challan, according to police sources.
