Title: Tragedy Strikes Delhi Hospital as Three Workers Die by Electrocution

In a devastating incident at Commander Hospital in Vikas Nagar, near Ranhola in outer Delhi, three individuals tragically lost their lives due to electrocution. The victims, identified as 59-year-old electrical engineer Sarvesh Kumar and father-son duo Kunwar Pal (40) and Raman (20), were found dead inside an underground water tank on the hospital premises on Friday afternoon.

The incident unfolded as the three, employed as plumbers, entered the tank to repair a malfunctioning water motor. Unfortunately, they suffered an electric shock, leading to their untimely demise. The bodies were discovered floating in the water within the tank by officials from the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), who responded to a call reporting the electric current spread in the water tank at 2.56 pm.

DFS director Atul Garg confirmed the tragic event, stating that all three individuals died on the spot. The fire control room dispatched two fire tenders to the scene, where it was revealed that electric current was present in the underground water tank intended for the hospital's fire hydrant system.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Jimmy Chiram provided additional details, mentioning that the victims were discovered after a distress call to the Ranhola police station. Sarvesh Kumar, the electrical engineer, hailed from Sahibabad near Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, while Kunwar Pal and Raman resided with their family members in Hastsal village in southwest Delhi.

Hospital authorities were unavailable for comment despite attempts to reach them. The bodies were transported to Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital for autopsy, and a First Information Report (FIR) under IPC Section 304A (death by negligence) and other relevant sections was registered at the Ranhola police station.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the electric water motor malfunctioned, prompting the hospital to call in the plumbers for repairs. The hospital's electrical engineer, Sarvesh Kumar, also entered the tank to assist with the repairs. The police suspect that the victims suffered an electric shock during the repair work, and forensic experts have conducted an inspection of the incident spot, gathering samples, including the water motor, to aid in the ongoing investigation.
