BJP Celebrates Republic Day with Fervor, CM Dhami Highlights UCC Implementation as Milestone


Dehradun: The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters in Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and State BJP President Mahendra Bhatt hoisted the national flag and extended their wishes to all present, emphasizing the importance of contributing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India by 2047.

Addressing the gathering, CM Dhami highlighted the constitutional guarantees provided to citizens and called for a collective commitment to fulfilling individual duties in the world’s largest democracy. He urged Uttarakhand’s citizens to actively participate in realizing the nation’s developmental goals.

Speaking on the eve of the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Uttarakhand, Dhami called it a significant step towards eradicating legal disparities based on caste, religion, region, or gender. "With this law, we are fulfilling yet another promise made to the people of the state," he said. He expressed gratitude to the citizens for supporting this historic move, which he described as a law that would ensure equality and strengthen societal harmony.


The Chief Minister also referred to the positive trends in the ongoing municipal elections, attributing them to the blessings of the people and the hard work of BJP workers. He emphasized that the party would diligently work to fulfill its electoral promises and continue its developmental initiatives.

State BJP President Mahendra Bhatt extended Republic Day greetings to all citizens and hailed the municipal election results as a "double celebration" for the party. Expressing joy over the implementation of the UCC, Bhatt compared it to the sacred rivers originating from Uttarakhand, stating, "Just as the Ganga and Yamuna nurture the nation, Uttarakhand’s UCC will serve as a guiding force for establishing a uniform legal framework across India."

The event was attended by prominent leaders, including former Chief Minister and Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, and State General Secretary Ajeya Kumar, along with a large number of party officials and workers.

The celebration concluded with a pledge to uphold constitutional values, fulfill promises to the electorate, and work towards the state's and nation’s holistic development.
