Telugu Actors Allu Arjun and Ram Charan Split Paths in Election Campaign, Rally for Different Parties

Telugu film industry icons Allu Arjun and Ram Charan, who share a familial bond with Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, diverged in their political endorsements during the final day of election campaigning in Andhra Pradesh. While Ram Charan stood alongside his paternal uncle Pawan Kalyan in Pithapuram, Allu Arjun threw his support behind YSRCP's Nandyal candidate, Silpa Ravichandra Kishore Reddy.

Despite their familial connections to Pawan Kalyan, the two actors chose contrasting party loyalties. Allu Arjun, known for his nationwide fame with the Pushpa franchise, opted to back the YSRCP, citing his friendship with Silpa Ravichandra Kishore Reddy. On the other hand, Ram Charan rallied alongside Pawan Kalyan, bolstering the Jana Sena's campaign in Pithapuram.

Nandyal, where Allu Arjun campaigned, has historically been a stronghold for the YSRCP in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. Conversely, Pithapuram, Ram Charan's campaign destination, lies in the Kakinada district, known for its concentration of the forward caste Kapu community, to which both Ram Charan and Pawan Kalyan belong.

Allu Arjun, accompanied by his wife Allu Sneha Reddy, greeted throngs of fans at Shilpa Kishore’s residence, emphasizing his support for his friend's political aspirations. Meanwhile, Ram Charan, joined by Allu Arjun's father Allu Aravind and Chiranjeevi’s wife Konidela Surekha, participated in prayers at the Kukkuteswara Swamy temple before embarking on the Jana Sena campaign trail.

As Andhra Pradesh braces for simultaneous Lok Sabha and state Assembly elections on May 13, the divergent political affiliations of these two prominent actors reflect the diverse landscape of the state's political arena.
