Prajwal Revanna Sexual Abuse Case: BJP's Vijayendra Yediyurappa Denies Receiving Letter on Videos

In the midst of sexual abuse allegations against JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna, BJP's Karnataka State President Vijayendra Yediyurappa has dismissed claims of receiving any communication about the alleged videos. BJP leader Devaraje Gowda asserted that he had informed the state BJP leadership about sexual abuse allegations against Revanna and his alleged illegal filming of these acts in a letter. However, Yediyurappa has refuted these claims, labeling them as "patently false."

Revanna, who represents Hassan in the Lok Sabha, is part of the Janata Dal (Secular) party, which has formed an alliance with the BJP for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections in Karnataka. Yediyurappa, an MLA from the Shikaripura Assembly Constituency in Karnataka, addressed the issue via his official social media handle, denying any knowledge of the alleged videos.

Yediyurappa categorically stated that no such communication regarding the videos had reached him, emphasizing that he was unaware of their existence. He refuted Gowda's claim of sending a letter concerning the videos, asserting that no such correspondence had reached him.

Earlier, Gowda had raised concerns over allegations against Revanna, highlighting a communication gap within the party regarding the alleged videos. He claimed to have written a letter to Yediyurappa about the videos, expressing concerns over sexual harassment allegations against Revanna. However, Yediyurappa reiterated that he had not received any such letter.

The situation underscores the complexity and political ramifications of addressing serious allegations within the political landscape. Despite claims and counterclaims, the matter highlights the challenges of internal communication and accountability within political parties.
