An Emirates flight bound for Mumbai from Dubai encountered a harrowing incident late on Monday night as it collided with a flock of flamingos shortly before landing. Despite sustaining damage to the aircraft and causing fatalities among the birds, the flight landed safely, as confirmed by the airline on Wednesday.
The Boeing 777 aircraft struck the flock approximately 300 meters (1,000 ft) above ground level, resulting in the deaths of 39 flamingos, with an additional 36 flamingos reportedly hit during the collision, according to reports from the Times of India newspaper.
